How we came to be....
During a quiet evening about a week before Christmas, we (Jen and John, the founders) were chatting and Jen said, "you know what would be nice, if there was a way to decorate our trophy mounts that wasn't just draping garland or hanging ornaments off the antlers....". Our trophies are in our family room, it's where we gather for the holidays and we wanted to be able to fully decorate for the holidays. We instantly agreed that there was a real need for an easy and stylish method to decorate our hunting trophies.
After trying to find a solution out there on major retail sites and some side hustle crafty type sites we came up empty... That was when we started the process of designing our Wild Wreath to help out people with similar needs decorate their homes for the holidays. Brainstorming and working through multiple prototypes to arrive on our current design, we wanted to emphasize ease of use as well as the safety of your expensive trophy mounts. We landed on a couple of critical features. It had to be light, to prevent leaving imprints in the fur. It had to be adjustable, we wanted to make sure that our wreath would/could fit ANY trophy and lay where we wanted it to lay. Finally it had to be able to fasten around the trophy rather than having to weave past and around the antlers and ears.
Like many people who spend the better part of our time outdoors hunting, we like to show our appreciation for the time and energy we spend hunting and providing food for our family by displaying our trophies in our family room. It's a way for us to keep our memories present. But until now there hasn't been a way to properly decorate your trophies along with the rest of your home. Maybe you've hung ornaments or tinsel off of the antlers, perhaps you sat a Santa hat on its head. Now you can easily decorate your trophy without any risk of damage.
